The school year ended with a flurry of activities...awards ceremonies, end of year parties, tests, papers, etc. (Our oldest's best friend became very ill the last week of school. We are extremely happy to say he is doing so much better.) Both kids were sad to say goodbye to teachers and friends for the summer, but were also happy to rid themselves of early morning wake-ups. They both brought home loads of papers which I still need to go through and see what is worthy of filing away.
Our 4th grader has been wanting the "Twainberry" award (a prestigious award only given to the top writers) for years. She accomplished her goal...she (as we) are very proud.
Sra. Nieto

The best friends triangle. The gentleman best buddy missed the end of year activities. We cannot say how happy (ecstatic, jubilant, relieved...) all of us are that he is on the mend.
The famous Jemma... She is a wonder child that has been featured on ABC's World News as "The Person of the Week". http://abcnews.go.com/WN/PersonOfWeek/story?id=4591478&page=1 Our oldest admires her with good reason. She and her family are incredible. Jemma came to the class to share her end of year/graduation poem. She skipped 4th grade and is attending middle school in the Fall.
We'll see you all in the Fall!
